This is not staged for the project, but really what Xong's mom does. She takes care of Pi most days and large part of Hmong culture is food preparation and so Nkauj Ntsuab is often strapped to her back so that she can do this work.
I did use this video for the exhibit. It was taken using my ipod and was very spur of the moment. I think sometimes we think that technology is all the new computer things, but technology is all the tools we use, from pencils to robots. That little ipod has been an amazing tool for me for capturing those sweet little parts of life to share with others. This is a technology I really appreciate.
Matt, when I was a baby I spent a lot of my time on Maria's back. She used to use a blanket to hold me in place, with it tied in across her chest by a knot by the corners of the blanket. This is very common still today in South Africa.
I agree totally with you about the iPod -- and you are showing here how easy and effective it is to use. Way to go! :)

These videos show the “spontaneous” importance of iPods for teaching and learning.
