This was great! this woman and her kids came to help set up the exhibit and we had her take her baby outside and filmed her doing a "how to" video of putting a baby in a nyias.
This is SO cool -- on two grounds: (1) I love the carrier -- what a clever design -- so much simpler (and I suspect cost effective) than the commercial ones that I have seen (2) I love how you demonstrate here how to use a short video clip to teach people how to do something -- and that you do this on your blog. This is simple yet very effective! Did you film this using your iPod touch? p.s. so for someone who claims not to like using technology, you are doing great things!! :)
I like this video as it allows an outsider to view an activity that may be atypical to them, allowing the viewer time to process the activity on their own terms before they respond to others regarding what they think. In addition, there are obvious instructional uses for such a video as well. Nice work!

ReplyDeleteThe straps look a little long because its Pi's nyiam and so it has to fit around my belly! so for this woman the straps are extra long.
